Kearns, Utah
About Kearns
Kearns is a great place to find a beautiful and spacious property for your family. With a slower paced, small town identity, Kearns is a peaceful alternative to a faster-paced lifestyle in the Salt Lake City metro area.
Kearns is located in the Salt Lake City metro area and is a former WWII temporary Air Force Base named after Thomas Kearns, a successful businessman who served as a United States Senator from 1901-1905.
After the Air Force deactivated the base in 1946, it brought down most of the temporary structures and turned the property over to the State of Utah. Developers were immediately attracted to the land, as there were roads and other building infrastructure already in place, making it ideal for building neighborhoods.
